20" iMac

Well I think Apple really missed the mark with this one, but they announced an iMac with a 20" display attached. That sure is a nifty concept, but whatever you do, do not buy one of those things. Talk about a waste, you attach an absolutely beautiful 20" display to a computer that is already on the verge of being obsolete. Not a good deal.

Back when iMacs had crappy integrated 15" CRTs this wasn't such a problem, but now you're getting $1,000 LCD displays that are physically attached to the computer. The display will way outlast the computer, it's foolish to buy something with that large of a display and then not be able to upgrade the computer without buying yet another display. Apple is going in the wrong direction with this. They need to get a cheaper, headless computer into the market not come out with ever more expensive iMacs that are a horrible value.
