Technology Predictor Success Matrix
Tim Bray is starting a new series of posts titled "Technology Predictor Success Matrix" to attempt to predict the success of new technologies. It will definitely be interesting to see how well his conclusions work out. His first post is on technology winners. He's definitely set out on a difficult task, simply defining what success actually means would be hard enough. In fact, judging by his initial list of successful technologies I'm not sure what his definition of success is. For instance Microsoft Windows isn't on the list, as much as I dislike Windows, you can't really argue with its success.
