In flight

Continuing to practice shooting birds I went over to Encanto park where there's a much better selection then just around the neighborhood. I was trying a bit of panning on the birds flying around. Didn't have much luck, but did get a couple OK shots of some pigeons. Boring, but it's a start and the ducks in the park don't fly around much.

I'm also working with a new Sigma 70-300 APO macro super lens. The build quality of it is pretty cheap, but I think it does a decent job optically for an inexpensive lens. I had a Canon 75-300 for a couple days and returned it getting the Sigma instead. I think the Canon felt slightly better from a build perspective, but I've been getting a lot better pictures with the Sigma. Plus the Sigma has a 1:2 macro mode which is something I really wanted until I can afford to get a real macro lens.
