Photography - Kickin it

It's probably going to be another BMX heavy week photo wise. Covered the Kronik contest at Phoenix Skatepark on Saturday and then spent Sunday and Monday at the lake. This particular shot was taken Sunday and represents my great disappointment.

Driving up I was drooling over the way the weather was developing for the location we were planning to shoot. Unfortunately, the ramp showed up late and they didn't bring the plywood to build a runway. I was only able to take five shots before the riders decided it wasn't safe to ride. For those shots I was really just trying to dial in my lighting. This shot gives a hint of the lost potential of the setup. I needed a couple more jumps to get the lighting dialed in and ten minutes later those clouds were turning a nice shade of pink from the sunset. Sniff, sniff, it could have been so beautiful.

Anyway, this guys name is Kenny, I screwed up and didn't catch his last name.
