Ephel Duath - Innovative Metal

Once upon a time I was big fan of heavy metal, speed metal, death metal and so on. I still like to listen to the occasional Metallica and Slayer, but for the most part I haven't been seeking out much new metal. Recently, I came across a new metal band named Ephel Duath that actually caught my ear. A very innovative mix that sounds like John Zorn's Naked City mixed with VoiVod and some Slayer thrown in for good measure. It's screaming music, but brings in interesting instrumentation and rhythmic innovation drawing influence from old-school metal as well as Jazz, Funk and others.
