Syncato has CommentsI just finished adding comment support to Syncato and it is now running on the site. This should definitely be considered alpha test period so we'll see how it goes. If you encounter any problems please send me an email. At this point support is fairly basic.
Like everything in Syncato comments are stored as XML and are thus searchable via XPath. Each comment is stored in a separate file with a root tag of http://www.xmldatabases.org/WK/blog/comment[author='Kimbro Staken' ] When you post you can include XML within the body of the post and it will be included in the database. This kind of thing is very experimental, and I have no idea how good of an idea it is. We'll see how it goes. This feature does introduce the requirement that your post must be well-formed XML. I did do some basic escaping to reduce that burden, but you still have to make sure to close your tags and such. BTW: Please remember that my machine is really old and slow so go easy on it. Comments invalidate the page cache which means that the pages will have to regenerate via XSL.
