Is Syncato only a weblog system? No, it's really an XML fragment management system, it just happens that weblogs make a lot of sense to be treated as a collection of XML fragments and they're a very good way to get people to see some of the benefits of treating XML this way. With Syncato you can throw XML of any structure you want into the system and then slice and dice it using XPath and XSL-T to do whatever you want with the data. You could even call it an XML application server, or as I previously referred to it as an XML database web service. Hopefully lots of interesting uses for the basic technology and techniques will emerge in the future.
