Comment and trackback spamMy old Movabletype pages are still online and I'm starting to have a real problem with comment spam and now today I received my first trackback spam. This is really annoying, I know there's a blacklist plugin for Movabletype that you can use to block repeat offenders, but that's a pain. I'm wondering now if we're going to have to start looking at things like bayesian filtering within comment systems or if that will even help. Syncato has been unaffected by this so far, but that's just because there's hardly anyone using it yet. I'm curious what other kind of things we can do beyond brute-force manual intervention solutions like black lists? Also anyone know if there is an easy way to just turn comments and trackbacks off globally in Movabletype?
