Apple announces Intel MacsOoh, how exciting. Apple announced new Macs running on Intel processors today. There's a new version of the iMac with a dual core CPU and a replacement for the Powerbook called the Mac Book Pro that also has a dual core CPU. Not only is the move to Intel exciting, getting a dual core in an Apple laptop is a dream come true. I'm kind of hesitant to buy a first gen Intel machine, but I may just need to find a way to swing one of the new Mac Books. Apple hasn't updated their site yet, so we'll see once the full details are available. Update: The site just updated. MacBook Pro - Intel iMac It's also interesting to look at the name for the new Laptop. It kind of implies that they're unifying their laptop line under one brand. My bets are on a single core MacBook replacing the iBook in the next few months.
